Every original, carried across intact

Originals, not previews

PhotoCargo copies the original files Photos keeps: full-resolution photos and videos, RAW + JPEG pairs and both parts of Live Photos, with their original names and dates. If an original is missing, PhotoCargo tells you and can copy the version Photos has instead.

Every copy verified

Each file is read back from the drive and compared with a checksum taken while copying. Verify Files checks all your copies again whenever you like.

Works with iCloud Photos

With Optimize Mac Storage, Photos downloads each original as it’s needed and PhotoCargo writes it straight to your drive, pausing if your Mac runs low on space.

Pause now, finish later

Pause, quit or restart your Mac whenever you need to. A transfer picks up at the first unfinished item, and files already copied aren’t copied again.

Keep your copies current

Find New Items copies only what’s new since last time, into the same folder, so your copies grow with your library.
